90% of the wine made today is meant for immediate
consumption (vs cellaring for years). One result is that the need to
'breathe' is vastly reduced regardless of the varietal. I don't know if
any Zins are made for cellaring.

Obama has less
experience - but McCain's experience is going to get him in trouble - he
is directly responsible for the econimic mess and most issues - so he has
a lot of defending to do. I think Biden vs Palin debate will be more

I just got back
from a vacation on the east coast visiting some friends in New Hampshire.
We took in a baseball game at Fenway, and traveled down to New York to
watch the Yankees play (boo....they won!) and to see Yankee stadium before
they tear it down. The stadium was not that great but we had good seats
and saw a Grand Slam in the first inning and saw Jeter break some record
(whoopteedo!). Overall the Yankee fans were kinda bitter about the season
and the fact that Torre is gone. My buddy Bob and I stopped in Connecticut
on the way back and stayed with my friend Robin in her mansion in
Ridgeview.....seriously the house is 7500 sq feet! Nice!
Now it is back to the part time job working for Santa Clara County on the Civil Grand Jury. Very interesting work that I don't really get paid for and can't talk about at all...but my family and friends are happy because they were all worried I was going to spend the rest of my life hanging out at coffee shops and watching baseball games.
