Subject: Surprise Party for Jim Schrempp's 40th Birthday Come join a SURPRISE birthday party for Jim Schrempp on Saturday, March 22nd from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the Palace Restaurant in Sunnyvale (directions below). He has no idea about this...and I am trying my hardest to keep it a secret! O.K. I admit this is difficult for me. I will be bringing Jim to the restaurant around 7:15 PM for the surprise. There will be "hearty" Hors d'oeuvres, beer, wine and soda will be provided.... if you want to go for the hard stuff, you're on your own! Hearty means no wimpy food! Yes, there will be vegetarian food for the lettuce eaters. Presents are not required, just bring some funny stories about Jim! RSVP appreciated ASAP to June H. or call me at xx. See ya, june >>3/18/970 3:00 PM 3/19/97 This is going to be the hardest part. I have to be casual and normal...that is going to be very hard for me! I have arranged for a friend that is going to be at the party to have a mobile phone. On the way to the party, I will say " oh, I need to check v-mail" and then call this guys number and push a button to make a tone for each 5 minutes to the time we'll get there. Sounds complex but shouldn't be. The plan is to be there around 7:15 PM. I went by the restaurant today...it is just beautiful. It should be so much fun.
